I don't care which religion you follow (or say that you follow). I don't care how you feel about them, but tangled into most religious texts are some extremely good lessons in life. This is wisdom passed down for hundreds of years by voice and I am not about to let 500+ years of ancestorial wisdom of life go to waste.
I started looking at ancient texts recently; One that came to my attention was the Gospel of Thomas in Christianity. This bad-boy is NOT in the bible, but a hidden secret book of a rejected apostle. In revealed some very interesting words:
"When the two become one, you will say to a mountain "move" and it will move. Let your voice speak of desire not through words of man, but of the words of God and Spirit for this is what brings true abundance."
Or in other words,
Emotion, Belief, Imagery, Confidence, Vision, Meditation, Feeling...
Have you ever noticed that those who think they can often can and those who think they cannot cannot?
Also, when you have momentum you sell more, but when times are tough it is hard to get out of a rut?
Your mindset... your state of mind and "flow" (as I have heard some people call it) matters more than you can imagine. Your utter internal belief of your ability to sell, your feeling of confidence and your general state of mind matter more than people give it credit for.
It is only when your feeling, mindset and natural flow all come together autonomously focused (as if naturally adept) that we truely excel in our discipline.
The big question is, what can we do about this?
1.) Start the day congratulating yourself for hitting 1.5x your usually daily average, this is before the phone starts ringing.
2.) Meditate more on the feeling of utter success
3.) Fake it until you make it; Fail your way to success!
4.) Disciple your disappointments through denial as you pretend you smashed your target
5.) Be a beacon of idealistic success (even if for now real results are not showing) because you know this will lead the way to genuine results.
You are what you focus on, focusing on defeat leads to that. Focusing on smashing those targets exceeds all expectations.
Just keep raising your bar ;)
